Luminaria Update: Release 2


Another big update for Luminaria is out now! Check out all the new features we've been working on:

Here's what's new:

  • New Level: The next leg of Aspen's journey will bring you to a network of underground caves with brand new puzzles and mechanics! (Still in a prototype stage, will be updated in a few weeks)
  • Visual polish: Environments have been enhanced with new lighting systems, post-processing effects, parallax scripting, particle systems, and additional art
  • Lantern Puzzle Rework: Lantern lighting mechanics have been adjusted for a better gameplay experience.
  • UI Improvements: UI box sprites have been updated and animated, giving them a more dynamic feel. Text now scrolls and types properly, and an animated arrow has been added to speech bubbles.
  • Character Controller Rework: Several bugs related to Aspen's movement have been fixed, and jump power and gravity have been adjusted for a better game feel.
  • Additional character animations: Aspen and Spruce's conversation now comes to life with added animations and an additional death cutscene.

The Luminaria demo will continue to be in development until May. Thank you again to everyone who's played the game so far!
